EverSwitch – Bringing Piezo Technology to Perfection

Baran Advanced Technologies have developed and manufactured the EverSwitch product line for over 30 years, the EverSwitch Piezoelectric Touch Metal technology for switches, keypads and control panels was the first commercially viable piezo switching technology.  The principal behind Baran’s EverSwitch technology is the assembly of all the necessary components into a single unit (the module) which eliminates the need to handle multiple components for every single push point manufactured.

The switch function is based on the physical principle of the Piezo effect. The external push force (increase or decrease) activates a Piezo element that releases voltage utilized for switching (MOSFET).

There are three switching functions:

  • Momentary – Output closes or opens at every actuation for approx. 120 ms
  • Continuous – Circuit closed as long as switch is pressed. Up to 6 s
  • Toggle – Switch changes position at each activation
