Conflict Minerals

Statement concerning the use of „conflict minerals“ regarding article 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd-Frank-Act)

KAMAKA Electronic Bauelemente Vertriebs GmbH is an authorized distributor of electronic, electromechanical and optic components and assemblies. Being a distributor without development, production or own manufacturing facilities we cannot carry out any material declarations on our behalf. Since KAMAKA Electronic Bauelemente Vertriebs GmbH is neither an US American nor a listed company we are not per se subject to the article 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd-Frank-Act). The Dodd-Frank-Act especially refers to tin, tantalum, wolfram, columbite, gold and its derivatives, mined in the Democratic Republic of Congo or its neighbor countries.

KAMAKA Electronic Bauelemente Vertriebs GmbH knows about its social responsibility regarding health, environment, occupational safety and human rights. Hence, we are constantly in touch with our contract manufacturers in order to make sure that the manufactured products of our range of goods chime with all of the relevant legal regulations. We are in possession of all of our manufacturers’ statements concerning the Dodd-Franck Act (DFA) Section 1502. Therefore, according to current information, our contract manufacturers do not use, either directly or indirectly, conflict minerals originated from the Democratic Republic of Congo or its neighbor countries. We cannot testify whether conflict materials have been used within auxiliary or process materials. As a distributor we have no influence on the origin of the minerals being used by our supplier. Therefore, we cannot give any guarantee. However, we can guarantee that we do not directly import any minerals or conflict minerals.

Please understand that we cannot fill in any special questionnaires. If we have any information about a product, containing conflict minerals, we will withdraw it from our program and we will offer you an alternative with a different origin.

In order to be able to provide customers with the best possible support we will continue to monitor this topic carefully.
