The term “Obsolescence” covers the situation where a manufacturer no longer considers it economic enough to continue\u00a0manufacturing a component.<\/p>\n

  • Because of Obsolescence, equipment is no longer available or can\u00b4t be repaired economically<\/li>\n
  • There is no equivalent replacement without increased expenditure<\/li>\n
  • Obsolescence concerns materials, components, processes and software. It can occur in all parts of the life cycle of components: development, design, production and services<\/li>\n
