Point-of-Load Non-Isolated DC-DC Converter Series (22/26)

Murata Power Solutions offers more non-isolated Point-of-Load (PoL) DC-DC converters in standardized package formats and pin configurations than any other company.

The PoL converters provide output voltages ranging from 0.75 to 6 V at current levels between 2 and 50 A. Input voltages are primarily based on the established 3 V, 5 V, and 12 V levels, while certain models support input voltages from 7.5 to 40 V. Standard package options include SMT and SIP versions.

The latest SMT and SIP models feature user-programmable output voltages from 0.6 to 15.5 V while supporting wide-range inputs of 2.4–5.5 V, 2.9–14 V, 4.5–14 V, 6–14 V, 8.3–14 V, 9–32 V, 16–40 V, or 19–40 V. For many applications, these products represent true “one-size-fits-all” solutions.

PoL converters can be powered by AC/DC converters or DC/DC regulators, among other design approaches. In addition, many designers consider them a fast and cost-effective solution whenever galvanic isolation is not required and in-house designs would be too expensive or time-consuming.
